Our Mission
Working under this mission statement, LAUNCH Rhein-Main is a startup incubator dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial spirit in the Rhein-Main region. Our program provides students and doctoral candidates with an inter disciplinary platform to refine their business ideas and transform them into successful startups. Through collaboration with our experienced partners, we offer participants invaluable knowledge and guidance on their journey toward founding their own companies.
The Programs
The 10-week Winter Batch, held annually from November to January, offers participants hands-on workshops, mentoring and networking possibilities and concludes in a Demo Day where they pitch their ventures to our dedicated investors. Additionally, from April to October, LAUNCH organizes individual events with a focus on problem identification and ideation, preparing teams for the upcoming Winter Batch.
The idea for LAUNCH arises
An initial team of three members of the Entrepreneurs Club Mainz begins to work on a concept for a startup center for JGU in Mainz.
The target region expands
The ECM turns to its equivalent initiatives in the Rhine-Main region to expand the target region of the startup incubator, which is now called LAUNCH.
Our team is growing
The initial team of LAUNCH is expanded and grows to a number of seven, all of which are former board members of student startup initiatives.
The first partners support LAUNCH
A first group of partners support LAUNCH in its first steps to become Rhein-Mains leading early stage student incubator.
LAUNCH is integrated in the Futury - The Future Factory
LAUNCH stands out for its vision and goal and therefore becomes an official part of the Futury - The Future Factory, Rhein-Mains official startup factory.
An Advisory Board shares the vision
The team grows further to a number of 15 members in six departments. An Advisory Board is set up that shares the vision and consults the team in strategic questions.
LAUNCH becomes a registered association
LAUNCH becomes a registered association with its headquarters located at the Futury - The Future Factory Building in the heart of Frankfurt am Main.

The startups pitch in front of an audience of 150 representatives from the most important regional companies and institutions.

Advisory Board
Rolf blickt auf eine beeindruckende Karriere in führenden Unternehmen der Branchen IT und Telekommunikation zurück und ist derzeit als Head of Europe bei Nokia tätig. Mit seiner weitreichenden Erfahrung und Führungsstärke leitet er die europäischen Geschäfte des Unternehmens.
Philipp gründete 2021 das Startup Quantagonia, das komplexe Planungsprobleme mit KI und High-Performance-Computing vereinfacht und damit branchenübergreifend technologische Maßstäbe setzt. Bereits während seines BWL-Studiums baute er mit Ligalytics den Weltmarktführer für Profisportliga-Planung auf, der u. a. von UEFA und DFB genutzt wird.
Mit Clark hat Marco das erste Unicorn Frankfurts gegründet und damit die Grundlage für eine Wende in der Gründungskultur des Rhein-Main-Gebiets gelegt. Nach seinem Ausstieg aus dem operativen Geschäft engagiert er sich mittlerweile in der (Startup-) Politik sowie als Angel Investor.
Larissa hat nach ihrem Studium in Hamburg & London sowie mehrjähriger Erfahrung bei McKinsey und KKR nun eine Schlüsselrolle beim World Fund inne. Sie verantwortet dort die Investitionen in ClimateTech-Startups & treibt damit die Förderung nachhaltiger Technologien maßgeblich voran.
Nach seinem Studium in Frankreich und Belgien sowie einigen Stops im Corporate-Bereich hat Sebastien bereits mehrere erfolgreiche Startups ins Leben gerufen und dabei bereits einen erfolgreichen Exit hingelegt. Aktuell ist er als Climate Tech Portfolio Lead bei der ZEISS Group tätig.
Alex hat Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität zu Köln studiert und zunächst in der Produktstrukturierung eines FinTechs gearbeitet. In seiner aktuellen Rolle als ClimateTech-Investor bei World Fund bringt er seine Expertise und sein Netzwerk ein und gibt so entscheidenden Input für aufstrebende Gründer.
